The article reveals the essence of the "psychological security of person" concept, its subject and the main tasks as an independent branch of psychological science. Basic directions of present research are marked out.

The problems that psychologists are faced with in modern society are highlighted. The research held by the Faculty of Psychology of Lomonosov Moscow State University in accordance with the "Implementation of Innovation"Based Educational Programmes in Psychology" sub"project is considered. The new interdepartmental and interdisciplinary specialist areas are aimed at professional academic training in order to solve theoretical and practical problems of modern psychology.
The system dynamic model of security as a type of activity performance is described. The model is constructed in relation to the national psychology methodological traditions (cultural, historical, historical and evolutionary approaches and also activity approach), which allows to apply the heuristic potential of these approaches to the study of topical issues of human security, society and state.
