Established in 2006, a scientific and analytical publication "National Psychological Journal" has been issued by the Faculty of Psychology of Lomonosov Moscow State University both in printed and digital (Online) version of Open Access. The journal is published with the support of Russian Psychological Society.

National Psychological Journal is included in the current List of peer-reviewed scientific publications of the Higher Attestation Commission, where the main scientific results should be published by specialists in the corresponding branches of science in which academic degrees are awarded:

Aims, scope and target audience of the journal

The journal is published to spread information and form a professional information environment, consolidating and broadcasting scientific achievements and practical experience of psychologists and representatives of related specialties. The journal seeks to assist in the search for solutions to urgent problems and challenges facing both modern society as a whole and a particular person.

The target audience of the journal includes a wide range of specialists: scientists, practitioners, professors and teachers, undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as all those who are interested in the psychological issues of modern society and of a person in it.

National Psychological Journal is focused on cooperation with international scientific schools and professional public organizations that contribute to the integration of Russian psychological school into the world scientific community. The main goal is to improve the quality of scientific research, to increase the effectiveness of scientific work examination, and to promote the advances in scientific achievements.

The journal is included in the list of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications in the Russian Federation recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission.

The journal publishes

  • original theoretical, analytical and empirical articles and reviews in various areas of psychological science and practice, as well as in the related fields;
  • materials on international scientific conferences and congresses;
  • previously unpublished works of classics in psychology both in Russia and abroad.

The journal publishes the results of interdisciplinary research revealing the psychological component in related sciences: pedagogy, philosophy, history, natural science, philology, political science, economics, medicine, and cultural studies. Majority of studies are focused on the development of relevant and comprehensive knowledge about a person and promising methods and technologies for its application in psychological practice. While preparing manuscripts for publication, we focus on the quality of research papers, their relevance, novelty, and compliance with the requirements for articles in modern scientific periodicals.

National Psychological Journal is an open access publication. All materials are available online in html and pdf formats from the moment the issue is published.

Users are allowed to read, download, print, copy, distribute, share links to the full text of articles, as well as use them for any other lawful purpose (as defined in the Budapest Open Access Initiative https://www.budapestopenaccessinitiative.org/read, without violating the publication ethics of the journal.

The entire process of working on an article - submitting an article to the editor, reviewing and publishing - is completely free for authors.

There is no fee for the journal's authors. There are no shortened terms for publishing articles. All rights remain with the Authors.

Journal distribution

The printed (paper) version of the journal is distributed by subscription. Subscription index: "Rospechat" - index 36862. Agreement No. 8178 dated 07/23/2010 with LLC "Rospechat" Agency. There is no subscription to the electronic version of the journal. Publication schedule and archiving

The magazine is issued 4 times a year. The issue is published no later than the first day in the last month of the quarter. The stores All full texts of issues since 2006 in .pdf format are stored on the journal website. Moreover, most of the articles and issues of the journal are fully available in the Scientific Electronic Library (elibrary.ru). Printed issues of the journal are stored in the Publishing House (Printing House) of Moscow State University, in the Fundamental Library of Moscow State University and other libraries. The data storage policy is aimed at selecting, storing and providing access to the archives of the Journal. The policy includes the following goals: archiving materials in compliance with the state standards for archiving; registration and publication of articles in accordance with professional standards; ensuring wide access to the archived material, implied by publishing practice.
