The article reveals the essence of the "psychological security of person" concept, its subject and the main tasks as an independent branch of psychological science. Basic directions of present research are marked out.
On the basis of empirical data the essence of the concepts of «psychological safety» and «trust» is revealed. It is proved that trust and safety are the initial conditions of normal interpersonal relationships. The role of communicative interactions in securing socially-psychological safety of the person is shown.
