The “National Psychological Journal” is a scientific and analytical publication issued by the Faculty of Psychology of Lomonosov Moscow State University. It has been published in Russian and English language since 2006 in print and electronic (online) versions and continues to provide open access for its readership.

The National Psychological Journal is included in the current list of peer-reviewed scientific publications recognized issued by the Higher Attestation Commission, featuring research in key scientific specialties and disciplines relevant to academic degree qualifications.

Goals, scope and target audience of the journal

The journal publishes original peer-reviewed scientific articles of national and international significance, presenting theoretical and experimental research across various domains of psychology, including general psychology and methodology of psychology, educational psychology, personality psychology, cognitive psychology and psychophysiology, social psychology, psychology of professional activity, health psychology and clinical psychology, developmental psychology, educational psychology, extreme psychology, and animal psychology.

Additionally, the journal covers events of significance for the scientific psychological community, publishing articles about past conventions, congresses, scientific conferences, and so on.

An important principle of the journal is the festablishment of a relevant informational framework that addresses issues and challenges important for professional communities of psychologists.

The journal is relevant to a wide range of specialists in the field of psychological science, both young researchers and professionals.

The journal annually publishes thematic issues curated by guest editors, recognized as leading authorities in the field of psychology.

The journal publishes

Original theoretical, analytical and empirical articles and reviews in in a variety of domains within the field of psychological science and practice and related sciences;
Reports on international scientific conferences and congresses;
Previously unpublished works of classics of Russian and foreign psychology.

The journal publishes the results of interdisciplinary research that highlight the psychological aspects within related sciences (pedagogy, philosophy, history, natural science, philology, political science, economics, medicine, cultural studies). These studies aim to develop comprehensive insights into human behavior and explore promising methods and technologies for application within psychological practice. In the process of preparing manuscripts for publication, we focus on the quality of research work, its relevance, novelty, and compliance with structural and stylistic requirements consistent with those of modern scientific periodicals.

The printed (paper) version of the journal is distributed by subscription. Subscription index: "Rospechat" - index 36862. Agreement No. 8178 dated July 23, 2010 with LLC Agency "Rospechat". There is no subscription to the electronic version of the journal. Distribution of printed issues of the journal is made available to researchers, teachers, graduate students and students.

There is no fee for the journal's authors. There are no possibilities for publishing articles in shortened terms.

Publication schedule and archiving

The journal is published four times a year. The issue is published no later than the first day of the last month of the quarter. All full texts of issues since 2006 are available on the journal's website in pdf format. Additionally, most of the articles and journal publications are posted in full within the Scientific Electronic Library (elibrary.ru). Printed issues of the journal are stored within the Publishing House (Printing House) of Moscow State University, in the Fundamental Library of Moscow State University, and other libraries. The data storage policy is aimed at managing the selection, storage and accessibility of the Journal’s archives and includes the following goals: ensuring the compliance of archiving materials with state archiving standards; registering and publishing articles in accordance with professional standards; providing broad access to archived material in alignment with publishing practice.
