“National Psychological Journal” is a scientific and analytical publication of the Faculty of Psychology of Lomonosov Moscow State University. It has been published since 2006 in print and electronic (online) versions of completely open access (Open Access).

The National Psychological Journal is included in the current list of peer-reviewed scientific publications of the Higher Attestation Commission, in which the main scientific specialties and corresponding branches of science in which academic degrees are awarded should be published.

Goals, scope and target audience of the journal

The purpose of the journal is to publish original peer-reviewed scientific articles of broad national and international interest, containing the results of theoretical and experimental research in the field of general psychology and methodology of psychology, educational psychology, personality psychology, cognitive psychology and psychophysiology, social psychology, psychology of professional activity, health psychology and clinical psychology, developmental psychology, educational psychology, extreme psychology, and animal psychology.

The journal covers events in the life of the scientific psychological community, publishing articles about past conventions, congresses, scientific conferences, etc.

An important principle of the journal is the formation of a current information agenda, reflecting issues and problems that are important for professional communities of psychologists.

The journal is of interest to a wide range of specialists in the field of psychological science: both young researchers and professionals.

Publication of scientific articles in the journal is free of charge. The journal is published quarterly.

The journal annually prepares thematic issues with guest editors who are leading experts in the field of psychology.

The journal is included in the list of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals published in the Russian Federation recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission.

The journal publishes

  • original theoretical, analytical and empirical articles and reviews in various areas of psychological science and practice, as well as in the related sciences;
  • materials about international scientific conferences and congresses;
  • previously unpublished works of classics of Russian and foreign psychology.

The journal publishes the results of interdisciplinary research revealing the psychological component of related sciences (pedagogy, philosophy, history, natural science, philology, political science, economics, medicine, cultural studies), aimed at developing relevant and comprehensive knowledge about human and promising methods and technologies in order to apply them in psychological practice . In the process of preparing manuscripts for publication in the journal, we focus on the quality of research work, relevance, novelty, and compliance with the requirements for articles in modern scientific periodicals.

There is no subscription to the electronic version of the journal. It is possible to distribute printed versions of issues of the “National Psychological Journal” to researchers, teachers, graduate students and students.

There is no fee for the journal's authors. There are no possibilities for publishing articles in shortened terms.

Publication schedule and archiving

The journal is published 4 times a year. The issue is published no later than the first day of the last month of the quarter. All full texts of issues since 2006 are stored on the journal's website in .pdf format. Also, most of the articles and issues of the journal are posted in full in the Scientific Electronic Library (elibrary.ru). Printed issues of the journal are stored in the Publishing House (Printing House) of Moscow State University, in the Fundamental Library of Moscow State University and other libraries. The data storage policy is aimed at selecting, storing and providing access to the Journal’s archives and includes the following goals: compliance of archiving materials with state archiving standards; registration and publication of articles in accordance with professional standards; ensuring wide access to archived material provided for by publishing practice.
